In Indonesia, tobaccos are bought from the farmers from an open market.Unlike other countries, we do not have any auctions conducted. Our ties with our farmers are mostly commercial based.
We understand the concern facing the tobacco manufacturers with regards to tracebility. This is one of the main reasons we continue to improve our ties with the farmers from an educational perspective.
In areas such as Jember, Lombok and Bali,we educate farmers on proper usage of Crop Proctection Agents (CPA) and good agricultural practices to achieve high quality tobaccos.
